Position Title: Summer School Teaching Assistant
Organization: TES Staffing in collaboration with Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES
Pay Rate: $17.86/hour

Job Description

Summer School Classroom Aides at various locations are needed throughout the region. Program dates vary by location and take place during July and August.

Key Responsibilities

• Support instruction under the direction of the certified teacher
• Assist with lessons activities and classroom materials preparation
• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning
• Provide support to students by adapting materials and approaches
• Help maintain a structured positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage positive behavior and student engagement
• Supervise students during instructional periods and transitions
• Ensure students feel safe supported and motivated to learn

• Ontario County Academy (Grades 912 Midlakes)
• Yates County MS/HS (Grades 712 Penn Yan Academy)
• Newark/Lyons High (Grades 912 Newark HS)
• Seneca-East Wayne County High School (Grades 912 Waterloo HS)
• Seneca-East Wayne County Middle School (Grades 68 Mynderse Academy)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to stand walk lift up to 25 pounds and keep up with active students
• Must obtain and pass a background check through NYSED
