Role Overview
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for providing high quality expert procurement services across multiple categories which may include works services and/or goods. This role works collaboratively with cross functional teams to strategically manage a range of procurement activities and other value-adding initiatives that are customer focussed and achieve sustainable best value outcomes for the Group while ensuring that risks and compliance obligations are efficiently and effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
Strategically managing and/or supporting sourcing processes;
Strategically managing and/or supporting the management of contracts and supplier relationships;
Providing procurement advice and systems support; and
Identifying leading and/or supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
Your training/qualifications will include:
Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and/or bachelors degree in Procurement Commerce Law Business or related discipline and/or relevant level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;
Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC); and
Current Drivers Licence.
Your skills and experience will include;
Experience managing procurement activities (preferably sourcing and contract management);
Sound knowledge of contract law / commercial negotiation;
Experience utilising procurement / inventory management systems; and
Highly developed interpersonal verbal and written communication stakeholder management and collaboration skills including the ability to consult and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders.
