Job Summary

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the bilingual (English/Spanish) position of Lead Community Schools - Site Program Coordinator. This is a promotional opportunity open only to present monthly-salaried employees (not hourly) of the San Diego Unified School District.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the general direction of Community Schools program leadership provide training and guidance to Community Schools - Site Program Coordinators and other assigned staff; independently perform highly complex and technical administrative and staff duties related to the coordination and participation in collaborative leadership with assigned community school(s) administrators and school teams in the establishment and development of the Community Schools program pillars and structures.

  • Work Schedule:12months /40hours
  • Salary:This position is paid on theOTBSSalary Schedule. Grade058. To view the Salary Schedule click here.
  • Positions greater than 20 hours per week qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish required. Qualified candidates will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

A combination of training experience and/or education equivalent to an Associates degree from an accredited institution in communications social services education school counseling or a related field and six (6) years of recent progressively responsible related experience working with students and families in the TK-12 educational system or with organizations that serve school communities.

One year in the Community Schools - Site Program Coordinator job classification or equivalent experience in the establishment of community partnerships to support the development of comprehensive school systems and structures is highly preferred.

Examination Process


The examination process includes an application screening and evaluation based on the applicants education work history and responses to theapplication questions.
