The Position

Delivery Service Manager - RDT Group Functions Sites SHE & Sustainability

The Delivery Management Professional provides expert guidance on complex deliveries drives efficiency improvements influences stakeholder decisions and mentors others to achieve strategic alignment and support team this role you will navigate organizational complexity to define and communicate comprehensive solution visions and roadmaps for large-scale and strategically critical initiatives. Depending on the organizations needs you may operate within role archetypes such as Product Owner Service (Delivery) Manager Scrum Master Project Manager ITSM Process SME.

Description of the area

The responsibility of RDT Site SHE & Sustainability spans across the Business Functions Sustainability Group SHE (Safety Security Health and Environmental Protection) and the Sites Network consisting of the large multi-functional sites Mannheim Penzberg and Ludwigsburg in Germany; South San Francisco Indianapolis Pleasanton and Santa Clara in the US; Rotkreuz Basel/Kaiseraugst and Roche Forum Buonas in Switzerland as well as the global functions Global Capital Investment Real Estate & Facility Management Global Data & Digital Solutions and Site Network Strategy.

The technology stack of Product Sites supports the solutions of following capabilities:

  • General Site Services & IoT

  • Fixed Asset Strategy Portfolio & Project Engineering

  • Facility Management & Real Estate

  • Site Logistics Supply and Disposal

With the mission that employees and business functions work in safe attractive and sustainable sites with the same experience.

This role is primarily responsible for owning the end-to-end lifecycle of technology solutions supporting the diverse processes within the Sites Network especially across large multi-functional sites. A key focus area though not exclusive is General Site Services including Employee Services and overall Site enablement. Success in this position requires a strong focus on detail and the ability to grasp both global and local business priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scope / (Content Leadership): Provides expert guidance and strategic direction on defining and owning end-to-end system lifecycle and product roadmap. Champions scope management strategies frameworks and best practices for relevant initiatives. Oversees the management of significant scope changes ensuring strategic alignment and minimal disruption while proactively identifying and driving improvements to scope-related processes for enhanced delivery efficiency.

  • Accountability/Problem Solving: Leads the analysis of complex and strategic delivery problems across boundaries eliciting complex needs and influencing decisions. Accountable for defining strategic solutions and driving consensus through persuasive communication and facilitation. Proactively identifies strategic opportunities and risks and mentors colleagues on problem-solving.

  • Stakeholder Management: Identifies key stakeholders including senior management across organizational boundaries and analyzes complex stakeholder networks. Develops and executes comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication plans. Influences stakeholder decisions related to delivery navigates conflicts to achieve alignment and builds strong collaborative relationships across the organization.

  • Impact/Strategy: Provides consistent leadership and significant impact across major products. Drives significant impact on projects and programs leading organizational change initiatives. Leads the evaluation of strategic solution options fosters a culture of innovation and proactively proposes improvements to help implement strategic objectives.

  • Complexity / (Product Size): Handles ambiguous delivery requirements while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

  • Business/Technical ability: Possesses in-depth business knowledge and understanding of market trends to shape delivery strategies that achieve strategic business objectives. Drives business process improvements and innovation.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with key senior stakeholders and cultivating collaboration across organizational boundaries.

  • Proven track record operating in a Delivery Management archetype (e.g. Program Manager Product Owner Agile Coach) with extensive experience managing large-scale complex delivery programs.

  • Experience in embedding Agile best practices and leading organizational change initiatives

Technical / Business Skills

  • In-depth business knowledge and an understanding of market trends with the ability to shape delivery strategies to achieve strategic business objectives.

  • Expertise in managing system lifecycle and implementing product roadmaps in close collaboration with business stakeholders and engineering teams

  • Advanced analytical skills to lead the analysis of complex cross-boundary delivery problems and evaluate strategic solution options.

  • Business acumen of Site Operations processes - particular in the area of Employee Services and overall Site enablement - and related technology solutions is a plus

Additional Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication facilitation and negotiation skills with the ability to drive consensus on solutions and navigate conflicts to achieve alignment.

  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities; acts as a mentor for less experienced professionals providing constructive feedback and guiding them in complex scope management and problem-solving.

Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors including your skills experience qualifications and addition to base pay this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
