Job Title: X-Ray Technician Location: New York NY Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract) Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM 6:00 PM) Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging patient safety and compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images
Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures
Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
Adjust imaging equipment and exposure settings for optimal results
Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures
Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality and accuracy
Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately in medical records
Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed
Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment
Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License
BLS certification (preferred)
Required Skills & Experience
No prior experience required (new graduates welcome)
Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
Dependable with strong organizational and time management skills
