Job Title: X-Ray Technician
Location: New York NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM 6:00 PM)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging patient safety and compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images
- Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures
- Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Adjust imaging equipment and exposure settings for optimal results
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures
- Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality and accuracy
- Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately in medical records
- Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed
- Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
- Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License
- BLS certification (preferred)
Required Skills & Experience
- No prior experience required (new graduates welcome)
- Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
- Dependable with strong organizational and time management skills
