Job Summary
Payroll Clerk / Payroll Specialist Automotive Dealership
Location: Barrington IL
Murgado Automotive Group a leading automotive dealership group is hiring an experienced Payroll Clerk / Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across multiple dealership locations. This role is ideal for a detailoriented payroll professional with strong compliance knowledge and dealership or multientity payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll laws
- Maintain payroll records employee files and audit documentation
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries and discrepancies
- Review and validate timecards and timekeeping data
- Partner with HR and Accounting on payroll reporting and reconciliation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (Associates degree in Accounting preferred)
- 5 years of payroll processing experience (automotive or multilocation payroll preferred)
- Working knowledge of payroll systems; Paycom experience a plus
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of payroll tax and wage regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines
