Job Summary

The Site Merchandiser E-Commerce supports the day-to-day execution of MoMA Retails online merchandising strategy with a focus on driving conversion average order value and profitable revenue growth. This role is responsible for ensuring products are presented clearly consistently and in ways that help customers discover and purchase with confidence.

Working closely with Marketing Buying Creative and Technology partners the Site Merchandiser helps bring campaigns product launches and seasonal stories to life across the site while monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities

Online Merchandising & Performance

  • Supports the execution of site merchandising initiatives that drive conversion AOV units per transaction and margin.
  • Helps maximize the performance of marketing-driven traffic through effective homepage category and landing page merchandising.
  • Monitors core merchandising KPIs and flag trends opportunities and issues.

Homepage & Category Execution

  • Executes homepage and key landing page updates in alignment with the merchandising calendar and seasonal priorities.
  • Supports category organization product sequencing and collection builds to improve product discovery and clarity.
  • Assists with onsite search results product recommendations and basic merchandising rules.

Product Presentation & Content

  • Ensures product detail pages are accurate complete and aligned with established content and visual standards.
  • Coordinates with Buying and Creative teams to gather product information imagery and assets.
  • Supports new product launches by confirming copy attributes pricing and photography are correct and published on time.
  • Participates in email briefs determining the best commercial product to feature with consideration to seasonality and storytelling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partners with Marketing to align onsite merchandising with campaign messaging and promotions.
  • Works with Creative and Merchandising teams to execute product stories that reflect MoMAs brand and point of view.
  • Collaborates with Technology and Ecommerce partners to QA and launch site updates and enhancements.
  • Coordinates with the warehouse to ensure product is delivered supporting timely online launches and marketing initiatives.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepares regular performance reports on sales conversion and merchandising KPIs.
  • Conducts basic competitive reviews and trend monitoring to stay informed on digital retail best practices.
  • Shares observations and recommendations with the broader Digital Commerce team.
  • Builds out reports and dashboards to drive insights for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in ecommerce site merchandising or a related digital retail role.
  • Understanding of how customers shop online and how onsite merchandising supports conversion.
  • Comfortable working with ecommerce platforms and tools (e.g. Shopify onsite search merchandising and analytics tools).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator who works well with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in digital retail merchandising and customer experience.

Reports to: Assistant Director Site Merchandising

Salary Range: Minimum of $75000 to a maximum of $95000 per annum
