Duration: 1 year (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $20 $23/hr on W2
Shift: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Work Environment: Warehouse (75% outdoor work not fully air-conditioned)
Overtime: As needed

Job Overview

The Hazardous Materials Handler is responsible for safe and efficient handling storage and movement of materials within the warehouse. This role ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements particularly related to hazardous and explosive materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform material handling tasks including receiving storing picking packing issuing and disposal of inventory.
• Inspect incoming shipments and verify items against packing lists or purchase orders.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
• Ensure outgoing shipments are properly packed with accurate documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Support kitting Kanban replenishment and other inventory management initiatives.
• Optimize warehouse bin locations to improve efficiency and safety.
• Investigate and resolve inventory-related issues as directed by the supervisor.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (after certification).
• Follow all company policies including QHSE and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain ATF clearance to work with explosives.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Must be punctual flexible and self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory systems.

Education Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
