Working for our team you can truly make a are currently looking for a Press Operator Assistant to join our Press Assistant roleis responsible forthe set up and support of printing pressesin accordance withthe printing specifications and customer requirements/ work at MCC:Competitive compensation package Generous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating holidays Responsibilities:Comply withall company and safety policies and procedures Attains and maintainsall defined jobobjectivesrelated to the planning and execution of all jobs and quick changes Assistsin the performance of all external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities (changing from one label job to another) Assistsin the performance of all external clean-up activities following changeover Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment Strips plates from cylinders Locates dies to and from press May be requiredto work with press operator to view labels withassistanceof strobe light Comply withquality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC May be requiredto complete quality assurance sheet and associated documentation Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned Related duties as assigned Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Print shop experience helpful but not required Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team player Ability to read and understand a job ticket Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test) Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test) Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test) Ability to input data in the computer Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions Ability to stand and move around press area for long periodsof time The physical demands require standing using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionallyemployee isrequired to climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Must be ableto regularlylift or move up to 50 pounds.
