Location: Watertown New York
Duration: 1314 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Schedule: 8-hour shifts; weekends holidays and on-call required
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise the ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting ensuring safety and quality throughout surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning properly
• Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical team members to support procedures
• Monitor patients before during and after surgery assessing clinical needs and responding appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical procedures
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain an aseptic environment
• Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed
• Utilize safe patient handling techniques including proper use of lifting equipment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Active New York State RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of perioperative nursing practices
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias
• Proficiency with clinical equipment used in OR/ASU settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Previous Operating Room experience
• Leadership preceptorship or charge nurse experience
