Little Horsted is a successful small rural school situated just off the A26 near Uckfield

The Governors are seeking to appoint a committed inspirational innovative and talented Teaching Assistant to work Monday - Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm starting May 2026 (the salary for this role is dependent on experience).

5.5 hours per day - TA role

1 hour per day - MDSA role

They are looking for a person who either has a good knowledge of the KS1 & KS2 curriculum and experience of working with children within that age range or a newly qualified Level 3 candidate. Prospective candidates should have a level 3 qualification or above/relevant experience and a good working knowledge of child protection safeguarding procedures and policies that are essential in an education setting.

There may be opportunities available for further training leading to a recognised qualification.

The role will be a combination of supporting pupils through individual & small group interventions as well class-based support.

In addition to this role we also require the successful candidate to cover lunchtime duty as a Midday Supervisory Assistant.
