| Job Description: | The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a part-time tenure/non-tenure or clinical track position with VA 8ths assignment for the Division of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Rank & Tenure status will be determined based on education and experience. Responsibilities will include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings as well as supervision/teaching of Rheumatology Fellows Residents and Medical Students. An interest in translational research is highly desirable. This position will require .25FTE at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. We enjoy a collaborative relationship with Shands Hospital and pride ourselves in professional and cooperative interdisciplinary care. The UF Department of Medicine is a national leader in Cancer Cardiology Pulmonology and addition UF Health Shands Hospital is ranked among the top-50 in eight specialties in the 2025/2026 edition of Americas Best Hospitals published by U.S. News & World Report. Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership education and research tracks within a Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) formal mentorship programs and supported opportunities for teaching and research. These faculty positions will be based at our University teaching hospital with a potential option for part-time patient care duties at our immediately adjacent VA Hospital. Both hospitals serve a designated shortage area and/or a medically underserved area/population. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrows doctors. Substantial start-up packages are available for appropriate research applicants. The Gainesville area has superb weather inexpensive living nationally ranked schools and multiple year-round recreational opportunities.
