Job Summary

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced and proactive Stores Lead to oversee and manage all store operations across raw materials finished goods engineering spares and consumables. The Stores Lead will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management accurate record keeping proper material flow and seamless coordination with procurement production and other departments. The role involves maintaining inventory accuracy supporting uninterrupted factory operations leading the stores team and driving process improvements. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented organized and capable of leading teams while ensuring operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee receiving storing and issuing of raw materials spare parts consumables and finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure effective inventory control across all store categories.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems procedures and cycle count practices.
  • Identify investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies losses or variances.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and ensure inventory accuracy at all times.
  • Lead and supervise store personnel allocating responsibilities and monitoring daily operations.
  • Ensure discipline accountability and adherence to established store procedures.
  • Train and guide store staff to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement for timely sourcing and replenishment of materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate material requirements to avoid production disruptions.
  • Support procurement with inventory data consumption trends and stock planning.
  • Work with production and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth material movement and dispatch processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions including receipts issues and adjustments.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels stock movements and overall store performance.
  • Monitor key inventory KPIs such as stock accuracy and turnover.
  • Identify and implement improvements in store layout inventory systems and material handling processes.
  • Reduce losses damages and operational delays through process optimization.
  • Monitor store-related costs and support cost control through efficient inventory management.
  • Ensure safe storage and handling of materials in compliance with factory regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a clean organized and compliant store environment aligned with company policies and ISO requirements.
  • Develop implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all store activities.
  • Review and recommend improvements to store procedures for enhanced efficiency.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 46 years of experience in stores or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience handling raw materials finished goods and engineering spare parts.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems or ERP platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong reporting analytical and data management skills.
  • Excellent leadership team coordination and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to plan prioritize and manage store operations effectively.
  • Flexible adaptable and capable of working in a dynamic operational environment.



Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing production quality or engineering environment or strong project-based experience through internships academic projects or personal engineering projects. Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals materials and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks AutoCAD Fusion 360 CATIA or similar. Practical exposure to prototyping testing and hands-on engineering work. Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. High learning agility with a curious proactive and growth-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Well-organized disciplined and able to manage tasks meet deadlines and document work accurately. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality and continuous improvement. The following will be considered a plus: Exposure to product development projects design competitions or prototype builds. Basic understanding of DFM / DFA principles GD&T and engineering documentation standards. Experience working in factory workshop or production line environments. Strong interest in product innovation and manufacturing excellence.
