Medical Intelligence Specialist/Manager Medical Affairs
Job Level Flexibility: Open to candidates at both Specialist and Manager levels.
- Management of scientific knowledge and medical information based on customer needs and productlife cycle in Japan. Creation maintenance and provision of FAQs in reference global SRD tomedical/phone-representatives and also co-promotion partners.
- Develops basic HCC-compliant materials in accordance with industry standards
- Responsible for quality of fundamental materials
- Responsible for scientific judgement of the review process for appropriate materials and medicalinformation.
Manager Level:
- Influence the performance of the department /group with a global and company-wide perspective (arole model for others)
- Make proposals to the G-head regarding department / group goals and be the G-Heads right-handperson
- Encourage and support non-managers in the department/group to perform Band equivalent tasks andresponsible for human resource development
Specialist Level:
Contribute to the performance of the department /group with a global and company-wide perspective
When complex and difficult conflicts and issues arise be able to build mutual understanding make
decisions and lead independently until resolution
Leader of MI operations (right-hand person of G-Head). With expertise in MI operations can improve
projects and operations related to group operations
Ability to lead and train junior staff in MI operations
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred (medical science or considerable background).
Work experience of 4-5 years in pharmaceutical industry or medical institute.
- Medical Affairs Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Development etc.
- Medical doctor pharmacist nurse other Para-medicals and medical representatives (MR)
LIST JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel in a cross-functional team environment.
- Verbal & written communication skills with polite & assertiveness manner.
- Strong interpersonal organizational written and oral communications skills both in Japanese and English.
- Understanding of regulatory and legal requirements associated with pharmaceutical information provision.
- Strong work ethic integrity and respect.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills with proactively.
- Negotiation skill with colleagues who are conflicts of interests (eg. Sales MKT etc.)
- Project management skill Vendors management skill
The role involves extensive interactions with:
- Medical doctors and pharmacists.
- Clinical Regulatory PV BQ CMC PMS HPMA Communications Sales and Marketing.
- Medical Information of co-promotion partners.
- Global and AP Medical Affairs.
- Healthcare vendors Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA)
