Title: Assistant Outdoor Girls Track Coach Supervisor: Head Coach & Athletic Director Location: West Warwick High School Position Summary:Teach fundamentals and skillsOrganize and run practice sessionsTeach rules and regulationsDisplay and teach good sportsmanshipAssist in maintaining issuing and collecting of all equipment and suppliesSupervise players at all timesNotify the athletic director within 24 hours of any injury requiring medical attentionComply with all Athletic Department school and RI Interscholastic League Rules and Regulations / RIPCOAAttend all coaches meetings practices and for eye care and prevention of athletic injuriesCommunicates program expectations to student - athletes and parentsEstablish and maintain consistent standards and behaviorPerformance Responsibilities:Knowledge in particular sport based upon experience as a participant and/or coachDirectly responsible to the athletic director in liaison with principalMust meet RIIL/RIPCOA coaching certification and training requirementsDemonstrated ability in recognizing that the growth and development of each student -athlete requires meeting their individual : Meet all RIIL Coaching Requirements and applicants must be 3 years removed from high school. Preferred Qualifications: A combination of a few years of playing and coaching Of Employment: Position if for the current seasonEvaluation: Per District Annual Evaluation Policy and Process
