Description

Assist with research related tasks for the Institute for the Advanced Study of Culture & the Environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of samples for analysis of plant microfossils for applications in geosciences ecology and anthropology.
Manage chemical inventory waste and junior personnel/volunteers working in the lab.
Preliminary analysis of microfossil samples after lab preparation. Primary work will be on contracts with Chronicle Heritage Gamo Highlands NSF Project and development of comparative pollen/phytolith digital collection.

Qualifications

Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience. Higher education may substitute for the experience.
