Oracle SQL & Unix Application Support Engineer (Banking / AML / Production Support)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle SQL Unix and Production Support to manage and support enterprise applications in a banking/financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in incident management batch processing and system monitoring along with exposure to AML platforms and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Incident Management
Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications
Monitor systems troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents within SLAs
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure permanent fixes
Database & SQL Operations
Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures
Perform data validation reconciliation and issue analysis
Support data-related incidents and performance tuning
Unix & Batch Processing
Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts
Monitor and manage batch jobs and scheduled processes
Handle failures in job scheduling systems (TWS cron etc.)
Application & Middleware Support
Support applications running on IBM WebSphere (v9.x)
Troubleshoot issues related to Java-based applications (Java 1.8)
Work with integrated systems and upstream/downstream data flows
Monitoring & Debugging
Use tools like Dynatrace for monitoring and debugging
Analyze logs performance metrics and system alerts
Mainframe & Legacy Systems
Work with Mainframe technologies including:
JCL
TWS job scheduling
LCM deployments
Compliance & Regulatory Support
Support systems under regulatory frameworks (AML/BSA/OFAC)
Ensure audit readiness and compliance with banking standards
