Oracle SQL & Unix Application Support Engineer (Banking / AML / Production Support)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle SQL Unix and Production Support to manage and support enterprise applications in a banking/financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in incident management batch processing and system monitoring along with exposure to AML platforms and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Incident Management
- Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications
- Monitor systems troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents within SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure permanent fixes
Database & SQL Operations
- Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures
- Perform data validation reconciliation and issue analysis
- Support data-related incidents and performance tuning
Unix & Batch Processing
- Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts
- Monitor and manage batch jobs and scheduled processes
- Handle failures in job scheduling systems (TWS cron etc.)
Application & Middleware Support
- Support applications running on IBM WebSphere (v9.x)
- Troubleshoot issues related to Java-based applications (Java 1.8)
- Work with integrated systems and upstream/downstream data flows
Monitoring & Debugging
- Use tools like Dynatrace for monitoring and debugging
- Analyze logs performance metrics and system alerts
Mainframe & Legacy Systems
- Work with Mainframe technologies including:
- JCL
- TWS job scheduling
- LCM deployments
Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Support systems under regulatory frameworks (AML/BSA/OFAC)
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with banking standards
