Job Summary
Brewster-Pierce Memorial School is seeking a full-time energetic and caringSpecialized Assistantto support elementary-aged students with a range of academic behavioral and/or social-emotional needs.
In this role the Specialized Assistant will collaborate closely with special educators and classroom teachers to provide instructional and behavioral support and to assist with a variety of activities that help students access their learning. This position works with a diverse group of learners and is an integral part of a creative dedicated school team.
Qualified candidates will:
- Enjoy engaging with students and supporting their growth
- Communicate effectively with students families and colleagues
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Build and maintain positive supportive relationships
Successful candidates are reliable flexible and student-centered. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand and/or walk for extended periods while supporting students throughout the school day.
