TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kaitātari pūnaha - Systems Administrator to join the Systems Team in Te Tai Matihiko -Digital Solutions on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer and support enterprise onprem and cloud systems.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues to minimise outages.
  • Provide second and thirdlevel technical support within service levels.
  • Contribute to improvement work and projects through Agile practices.

You are a technically capable Kaitātari pūnaha - Systems Administrator who is a keen team contributor eager to learn and will bring with you strong problem-solving skills. Your skills and experience will enable you to support the Systems team in providing a secure flexible and robust technology foundation that supports innovation integration collaboration and operational excellence.

You will have:

  • Handson experience administering Microsoftbased enterprise systems and cloud services in a hybrid or largescale environment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using structured troubleshooting practices.
  • Scripting and automation skills used to improve operational efficiency consistency and security.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to work productively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders and customers.
  • A proactive approach to learning willingness to take ownership of unfamiliar problems and adaptability as technologies and platforms evolve.
