We are seeking an experienced SAP Security Lead to join a major transformation initiative initially focused on project delivery and implementation. This role will transition into a BAU SAP Security Lead position owning SAP security operations while continuing to support ongoing enhancements projects and initiatives. This is a critical role that operates at the intersection of project delivery and operational excellence ensuring secure compliant and scalable SAP environments. The SAP Security Lead will take ownership of security across our S/4HANA Public Cloud landscape and connected SAP platforms in the major transformation initiative. The role sits within a S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation and works closely with the system integration team application owners business stakeholders and enterprise security teams with the intention of transitioning into BAU post implementation of the project. This is a hands-on role and requires strong practical experience across SAP security and identity. (limit to 1 short paragraph)
Key responsibilities
- Lead SAP Security design build and implementation across major initiatives (S/4HANA ECC Fiori GRC) ensuring alignment to business and enterprise security requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable role-based access models authorisations and security architecture aligned to end-to-end processes.
- Establish and enforce security standards frameworks and documentation ensuring alignment with enterprise cyber security policies and controls.
- Oversee access governance including SoD risk mitigation and privileged access (SAP IAG) ensuring audit-ready and compliant environments.
- Own end-to-end SSO and identity integration (IAS/Entra ID) ensuring consistent authentication trusted flows and operational stability.
- Lead S/4HANA security role design and validation ensuring successful testing (SIT/UAT/PVT) cutover readiness and post go-live optimisation.
- Govern identity lifecycle management (JML) and provisioning across IAS/IPS and integrated systems ensuring accurate automated and efficient access management.
- Drive persona-based access and UX-aligned security design across SAP applications ensuring access reflects real user workflows and improves user experience.
- Secure and validate access across SAP BTP CPI ALM and integrated platforms ensuring compliant monitored and standards-aligned integrations.
- Provide ongoing BAU leadership and continuous improvement resolving access issues addressing control gaps and enhancing security design based on real usage.
