Primary Function:

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong operational and commercial background to join our Analytics & Strategy team. This role is designed for a results-oriented professional who excels at turning data into operational action supporting the day-to-day execution of projects driving performance visibility and enabling leadership to make faster better-informed decisions. You will own the design and delivery of operational KPIs project tracking frameworks forecasting pipelines and executive dashboards that serve Operations Project Management Finance and Commercial teams at scale.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Power BI Alteryx and Python a working knowledge of ERP and financial planning platforms (such as Oracle EPM/Hyperion or JDE) and a proven track record of driving measurable operational impact including KPI development project execution support cost and schedule visibility and scalable self-service analytics enablement. The position reports to our Senior Director of ERP & Project Controls will be based in our Houston Texas office located at 12301 Kurland Drive.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

Commercial Analytics & Decision Support

  • Partner with Operations Project Management Sales Finance and Commercial Leadership to develop models dashboards and analytical tools that support project execution resource planning pricing decisions and strategic forecasting.
  • Support major commercial and operational initiatives including project launches contract bids and capital programs through data modeling cost-to-complete analysis variance reporting and scenario planning.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPI frameworks that track project performance cost variances schedule milestones and resource efficiency enabling real-time visibility into execution health across business units.
  • Present operational performance findings project status analytics and commercial insights to executive stakeholders in a clear concise and actionable format.

Forecasting & Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain global forecasting pipelines integrating data from ERP financial planning and CRM platforms (e.g. Hyperion JDE Oracle EPM Dataverse Salesforce).
  • Develop ETL workflows in Alteryx and Python to automate data extraction transformation and loading into BI layers.
  • Ensure data quality pipeline reliability and timeliness across finance and commercial reporting cycles.
  • Support ERP implementation and migration initiatives by partnering with IT and finance teams to assess data requirements validate data integrity and ensure analytical continuity throughout system transitions (e.g. Oracle JDE Hyperion).

Business Intelligence & Dashboards

  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for global orders KPIs financials and operational metrics accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Implement DAX measures and data models within Microsoft Fabric/Power BI that support self-service analytics at scale.
  • Automate recurring manual reporting workflows targeting measurable reductions in manual effort across teams.

Automation & Application Development

  • Build scalable automation workflows using Alteryx and Python to eliminate manual processes and drive efficiency across business units.
  • Develop lightweight data applications (e.g. using Power Apps) to surface insights directly to field and regional teams.
  • Integrate GenAI APIs and AI-generated insights into analytical tools where applicable to accelerate workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Collaborate across departments including Finance Commercial Sales Operations and Engineering to align analytical priorities with enterprise-wide objectives and ensure insights are actionable at every level of the organization.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Mentor analysts and contribute to team standards for documentation data governance and reproducibility.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelors degree in Data Analytics Statistics Computer Science Engineering Business or a related quantitative field.

Minimum 4 years of experience in business intelligence commercial analytics or data science; preferably in energy industrial services or a similarly complex B2B environment.

Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX and data modeling) and Alteryx for workflow automation and analytics.

Strong SQL skills; experience querying Oracle JDE or similar ERP/financial databases.

Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation modeling and automation.

Experience integrating data from ERP and financial planning systems (e.g. Oracle EPM/Hyperion JDE Dataverse Salesforce).

Ability to communicate complex analytical results clearly to commercial and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Data Analytics Data Science or a related field.

Alteryx Designer Core or Advanced Certification.

Familiarity with P6 Primavera or equivalent project controls / scheduling software for operational data integration and reporting.

Experience building pricing intelligence or margin optimization tools.

Exposure to GenAI APIs and AI-assisted analytical tooling.

Prior experience supporting large-scale commercial bids or business line launches in a data capacity.
