- Base salary range: $104 243 - $115661 plus 17% superannuation.
About the area

The Office of the Deputy Vice - Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) has responsibility for research policy development and general oversight of the Universitys research activities.
The Graduate Research School (GRS) is responsible for the administration and management of higher degrees by research (HDR) PhD supervision scholarships and candidature industry internships and other research training needs of a Group of Eight research-intensive University. The GRS comprises a team of up to 30 staff members overseeing and operationalising central activities of research training for HDR students and academic supervisors in all Schools of the University. From candidature advice and inductions through to regular training seminars focused on project management critical thinking and research skills development the School also manages scholarships thesis submission and examinations as well as associated issues. The GRS also undertakes HDR supervisor training and develops initiatives to support early career researchers at UWA.
About the opportunity
- Plans coordinates and implements administrative functions related to HDR student and supervisor development programs at UWA in collaboration with schools institutes internal stakeholders and other Higher Education providers and professional organisations.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of robust processes for the development and evaluation of training materials including timetabling surveys data analysis coordination of venues event registration and module evaluation.
- Manages and oversees the HDR supervisor register ensuring supervisors have fulfilled their professional development requirements and research active status and are free from conflicts of interest.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
- Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level in the Higher Education sector.
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and network effectively with a range of professionals and establish effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide student support and a high level of quality customer service.
