We act for the roleSupport the provision of program/project delivery and associated tasks including coordination and administration; contributing to the end-to-end delivery of activities and to day you will:Coordinate and deliver the operational and administrative aspects of programs/projects and activitiesDevelop and maintain strong and effective relationships with a diverse range of local participants local stakeholders and other service providers on the TiwisWork with Wangatunga Strong Women (WSW) members and directors to ascertain immediate needs and vision for the groupConsider specific training and supports that assist with understanding governance requirements and responsibilities of being an Aboriginal CorporationFormally engage expertise and support externally and internally which strengthens and advances the WSWs vision to independenceMake recommendations for grants and funding opportunities that support the WSWs growing businessWork closely with the Family Support Staff to strengthen the FSS and WSW partnershipTravel to the Tiwi Islands semi-frequently and as requested by the WSWIdentify challenges and gaps within the newly formed corporation. Working with members to overcome any challenges and gaps by recommending professional and personal development and learning opportunitiesRecruit support and train volunteers staff & stakeholdersEnsure effective data collection and monitoring and evaluation of relevant activities to achieve strategic impact in accordance with the funding requirementsUndertake research and analysis identifying trends and maintaining current knowledge to support informed decision-making and planningWhat you will bringExperience in the implementation coordination and delivery of volunteer led programs/projectsEnsuring best practice in community development approaches as the role works closely with community members and leadersA Two-Way Learning approachMentoring and/or facilitation skills and experienceThe ability to change pace pivot and reprioritize according to community needsDemonstrated analytical skills to make sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problemsExperience working with volunteers/community membersDemonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse range of stakeholdersKnowledge of community-based programs gained through experience training or educationA valid Working With Children Check (Ochre Card) or the ability to obtain oneBenefits that act for you while you act for humanityWork flexibility:Australian Red Cross operates under a hybrid working model which includes working from home options to provide you more work/life balanceFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
