Sentara is hiring a Clinical Authorization Specialist for our Home Infusion Specialty Pharmacy
**Must be a certified Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse to qualify for this role**
Location: Independence Parkway Chesapeake VA 23320
Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift: Monday - Friday Days
Hours: 8:30am-5pm
The Clinical Authorization Coordinator is responsible to maintain confirming and secure referrals authorization or pre-certifications required for patients to receive medical procedures and/ or medication/enteral therapy. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient account information and maintains a database of payer authorization requirements.

Education
- LPN or Pharmacy Tech Trade School (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
- CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB (Required)
or
- Virginia LPN License (Required)
Experience
- 2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required)
or
- 2 years Clinical Experience (Required)
- Home Health Experience (Preferred)
- Authorization Experience (Preferred)
- Epic Experience (Preferred)
