Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for Sales Support in the Business Development division in the Johannesburg Greenstone Office. The individual will be responsible for supporting the business development team in sustaining relationships with clients and Alfred H Knight and ensuring continued client support and alignment with client needs.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
To be successful at Alfred H Knight the incumbent will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Assist with registration of AHK as a supplier on prospective clients vendor system
- Regularly updating CRM and ensure AHK SA meets targets as per Business Development plan
- Use the KWOT system to draft quotations as per client requests
- Coordinate/liaise with the business development team and systems are working optimally
- Attend meetings as required with the Business Development Manager and Regional Business Development Manager (UK colleagues China Office) to ensure that the client issues are discussed and rectified as soon as possible and keep the Regional Business Development Manager informed of serious and/or developing issues
- Assist the Business Development Manager with yearly/monthly/weekly Business Development plan and or work on won/lost projects and reasons thereto including possible projects
- Attend conferences as required to network with clients and potential clients
- Assist working on a standard rate system with accounts to eventually align with the UK system of standard rates and discounts for large clients
- Support the Business Development Manager in organizing and participating in client visits laboratory tours and client related administrative discussions

Required Qualifications
- Matric
- Diploma in Office Administration
Required work experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in the Metals and Mining industry
- Experience in business development or sales support within the mining or laboratory services
Travel
- Local and international travel will be required at times. The incumbent must have the ability to travel frequently across Southern Africa
- Valid passport
