The main task of this position is to ensure that all scales remain manned when it is required to be operational and to handle all administrative tasks connected to the role of Weighbridge Administrators and requested by the Logistics & Inventory Manager.
Required Skills:
Responsible for all relevant administration
- Maintain the shift roster and shift changes
- Management of team PPE requests
- Compile relevant required reports
- Responsible for the drafting of procedures and SOPs
Responsible for relevant control measures
- Check relevant controls for deviations
- Conduct monthly spot checks to ensure that the functions performed by the Weighbridge Administrators are up to standard
Incident reporting and investigation.
- Responsible for the investigation and reporting incidents
- Provide support to other departments pertaining to investigations
Health and Safety
- Participate in safety forums and attend relevant training/programmes
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Comply with safety policies and procedures
- Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)
Employee management and development
- Ensure overall compliance to relevant procedures and policies
- Ensure that all team members have clearly defined job profiles
- Regular goal reviews are completed to assess achievement of results
- Support coaching and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met
- Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands
- Ensure adequate succession planning to meet ongoing and anticipated business
