Job Description:
The Sustainability Studies program in association with Ethics in the Public Sphere and UF CAIRES is seeking a student assistant for the academic year. The student assistant will support communications events and program operations and provide general clerical and administrative support as needed.
Assist with planning and organizing events
Create publicity materials (flyers digital content announcements)
Support social media efforts for both programs
Update and maintain program websites using WordPress
Provide general program and administrative support as needed
Expected Salary:
The salary is $15/hourly.
Required Qualifications:
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and are eligible to be employed through Federal Work-Study. Must maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Must be able to work a minimum of 5 hours per week.
Preferred:
Major or minor in Sustainability Studies and interest in ethics
Commitment to remain in the role for at least one year
Experience with WordPress or other website management systems
Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g. Instagram LinkedIn)
Experience with Canva Adobe or similar design tools
Reliable punctual and adaptable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Basic photography and photo editing experience
