Junior Quality Control Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Quality Control Technician to support our Quality Control operations. This role is primarily field-based and involves collecting samples of concrete asphalt and other construction materials from active job sites as well as assisting with testing and reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in construction quality control materials testing or civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect field samples of concrete asphalt and aggregates from job sites across the GTA
- Perform basic on-site testing including slump air temperature and density testing
- Transport samples to the lab for further testing and analysis
- Accurately record test results and maintain proper documentation
- Assist the QC Manager with inspections and quality assurance processes
- Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with applicable standards and specifications
- Maintain and clean testing equipment
- Support other QC-related tasks as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology Construction Engineering or a related field is an asset
- Previous construction or field experience is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid G drivers license is required
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and extended shifts during peak season
