Conduct inspections using AOI SPI and visual methods to identify defects (bridging tombstoning misplacement solder issues).
Apply IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards throughout the assembly process.
Perform routine maintenance cleaning and nozzle checks on equipment and reflow ovens.
Troubleshoot equipment issues feeder jams and placement accuracy problems.
Maintain organized work area and follow 6S principles.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (technical/associate degree preferred).
Minimum 2 years of hands-on SMT assembly experience in a high-mix high-volume environment.
Proficiency with automated pick-and-place equipment (setup calibration troubleshooting).
Strong knowledge of SMT component types (0QFN BGA CSP FCBGA).
Experience with inspection tools (microscopes AOI SPI) and defect identification.
Experience with mixed technology boards (SMT and through-hole).
Knowledge of lead-free and RoHS-compliant processes.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality standards.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
