We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Operate automated pick-and-place machines (e.g. Juki Fuji Samsung); load/unload boards feeders and solder paste printers.

• Set up component trays verify part numbers and adjust machine parameters (placement speed vision settings nozzle height).

• Perform manual rework and hand soldering for specialized components (BGAs QFNs fine pitch).

• Conduct inspections using AOI SPI and visual methods to identify defects (bridging tombstoning misplacement solder issues).

• Apply IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards throughout the assembly process.

• Perform routine maintenance cleaning and nozzle checks on equipment and reflow ovens.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues feeder jams and placement accuracy problems.

• Maintain organized work area and follow 6S principles.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (technical/associate degree preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on SMT assembly experience in a high-mix high-volume environment.

• Proficiency with automated pick-and-place equipment (setup calibration troubleshooting).

• Strong knowledge of SMT component types (0QFN BGA CSP FCBGA).

• Experience with inspection tools (microscopes AOI SPI) and defect identification.

• Experience with mixed technology boards (SMT and through-hole).

• Knowledge of lead-free and RoHS-compliant processes.

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality standards.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
