Salary Range: $53000 $81000 annually

Role Overview
The Coding & Billing Auditor is responsible for performing comprehensive audits of provider documentation to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 and CPT codes. This role also involves educating providers and staff on coding standards improving documentation quality and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit medical records for accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Analyze audit findings and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure coding aligns with clinical documentation
• Educate physicians and staff on coding guidelines and documentation
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership on process improvements
• Train new team members on coding standards and best practices
• Support performance evaluations and coding quality initiatives

Requirements

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Mandatory
• Minimum 5 years of coding and auditing experience (inpatient/outpatient)
• Strong experience in professional physician coding
• Experience in multi-specialty coding preferred
• Associate Degree (Bachelors preferred)
• Strong communication skills with experience interacting with physicians
