Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our friendly team as a casual ward support to provide leave cover for planned and unplanned leave.
As a Ward Support your duties include but are not limited to patient transfers patient lifting using aides response to emergencies general cleaning infectious cleans and assisting with daily operations in the precinct.
Reporting to the Director of Shared Services you will perform duties to ensure a high level of quality care is delivered to all our patients clients and residents.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a hospital orderly/ward support (highly desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
- Availability for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster (morning/afternoon/night shifts)
- A strong willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures
- Motivated and positive with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures
