Senior Application Developer-IT Business Solution (RefU)

Requirements

• Degree in Computing / Information Systems or a related discipline
  
• Certified Professional of IT (CPIT) certification is preferred
  
• A minimum of 3 years experience in systems development
  
• Experience in development of fare revenue management applications is preferred
  
• Solid experience in combination with the following activities / tools would be an advantage:
  
  • Core Microsoft SQL Server
    
  • Web and mobile (iOS/Android) applications development
    
  • Low Code development
    
  • Microsoft Azure cloud platform services and tools
    
  • Linux platform Shell scripts Oracle database
    
  • Software requirement management and vendor delivery management
    
  • Software development cycle
    
  • IBM WebSphere Message Queue Web framework (Spring Hibernate etc.) and service-oriented architecture/web services (REST)
    
  • SAP BusinessObjects Power BI Open-source DB and Framework (e.g. Polar DB Open Liberty)
    
• Experience in implementation of AI solutions is an advantage
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

Responsibilities

• Participate in application enhancement or development including requirement analysis technical design coding testing implementation and production implementation
  
• Prepare project deliverables such as requirement/ functional/ design specification system prototype test plan/ scenarios/ cases implementation plan training plan/ materials user manual disaster recovery procedure and disaster recovery drill report etc.
  
• Liaise with business users work with contractors and vendors at different levels to prioritise tasks
  
• Act as functional lead to manage offshore developers
  
• Provide application maintenance support services to business users and achieve service targets
