As a Security Officer Armed Access Specialist in New Orleans LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal at an education location as an armed Access Control professional where you will monitor entry points verify credentials and help to support a welcoming environment for students staff and visitors. This role combines visible presence routine patrols and strong communication while reflecting our values of being agile reliable and innovative with a caring culture teamwork and integrity at the center of every interaction.

Pay Rate: $24.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures access control protocols and when appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor entrances and exits verify identification and/or visitor authorization and help to deter unauthorized access to campus buildings and grounds.
• Respond to incidents visitor concerns and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while documenting security-related activities according to site guidelines.
• Support student staff and visitor movement by communicating directions screening guests and/or deliveries and reporting suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate contact.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned buildings entry points and perimeter areas as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
