Position Summary

Interior Technicians are responsible for tasks related to aircraft interior installation repair and removal due to aging customization or modification. This role involves repairing building troubleshooting and performing installation and fabrication work on aircraft interior components. The technician must read and comply with instructions and safety guidelines to ensure proper and safe completion of assigned tasks. Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics are essential for success in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Perform skilled work independently or with others under minimal supervision.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of aircraft systems and theory of operations.

Apply troubleshooting knowledge and skills with minimal errors.

Repair remove and install carpeting lighting monuments and side walls independently or with minimal supervision.

Remove disassemble clean inspect repair and reinstall aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment including doors galleys lavatories seats overhead compartments and panels.

Read and interpret blueprints engineering documents service bulletins aircraft manuals and catalogs to perform complex cabin reconfigurations.

Use hand tools and necessary equipment to perform skilled mechanical work as required.

Accurately record time worked as directed by the supervisor.

Follow all safety procedures and wear/use appropriate safety equipment at all times.

Ensure work meets and complies with all federal customer and company policies and procedures.

Stay informed of company policies and procedures and seek clarification from supervisors as needed.

Demonstrate knowledge of basic aviation principles including aircraft components and zones LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) hazardous waste handling and regulatory requirements.

Read maintenance manuals work instructions and safety information necessary for the completion of assigned tasks.

Prepare and maintain accurate records such as work orders task card documentation logs parts tags and time/material records.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Language Skills

Must be able to read speak write and understand the English language.

Licenses and Certifications

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is preferred.

Airframe Familiarization (FAM) course certificates are preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 18 months of relevant experience with knowledge of narrow and wide-body airframe techniques terminology and parts.

Technical Skills

Perform daily transactions within Flightstars ERP system.

Utilize vending (POU) systems.

Research and interpret customer maintenance manuals.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry hand tools parts and work materials.

Ability to ascend and descend ladders and platforms.

Work in various positions including stooping kneeling or squatting.

Working Conditions

You must always follow safety rules and regulations.

Report on unsafe working conditions and behaviors.

Adhere to Safety Management System (SMS) culture.

Safety glasses required; prescription safety glasses required if applicable.
