Purpose: Ensure the correct and timely fulfillment of all the companys tax obligations guaranteeing compliance with current tax regulations. Minimize tax-related risks and provide advice to support financial and business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy timeliness and quality of the companys tax figures and compliance with fiscal and accounting standards coordinating activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare district and national tax obligations including tax returns and required information filings ensuring proper timing and compliance with standards. This includes support in requesting refunds of favorable balances from the DIAN (National Tax and Customs Directorate).
- Perform tax updates in the SAP information system for customers and suppliers to meet tax obligations and corporate accounting fiscal and/or legal information needs. Attend visits and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies auditors and tax authorities to demonstrate that the company complies with legal corporate and fiscal standards. Support the accounting management in preparing mandatory documentation (Local file Master file and Country-by-Country documentation as applicable) for Transfer Pricing reports.
- Support the accounting management in preparing working papers for the Activity Report in order to monitor the companys operating margins and enable timely decision-making.
- Ensure the quality and timely submission of monthly and quarterly corporate reports in line with corporate requirements.
- Guarantee the proper functioning of the electronic invoicing program supporting documents and receipt acknowledgments with corresponding document management.
You
Academic Background: Professional degree in Public Accounting; Specialization in Taxation.
Required Experience: 5 years of experience with responsibility over tax processes. English
Technical Knowledge: Tax accounting and financial knowledge. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules (desirable handling of SAP FI module).
