Job Summary

F.H. Furr is seeking a motivated and dependableElectrical Apprenticeto join our growing Electrical team inAshland VA. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to build a career in the electrical trade while receiving hands-on training under the guidance of licensed electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will assist with residential electrical installations repairs and maintenance while learning F.H. Furr safety standards customer service expectations and technical best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations diagnostics repairs and maintenance
• Learn and follow all local state and national electrical codes and safety regulations
• Safely use hand tools power tools and electrical testing equipment
• Support troubleshooting of electrical systems including wiring panels outlets switches and fixtures
• Maintain clean organized and safe job sites
• Accurately complete required paperwork and job documentation
• Provide professional and courteous service while in customers homes
• Participate in on-the-job training and company-sponsored education programs
• Follow all company policies procedures and safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship or trade program preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the electrical trade
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic dependability and positive attitude
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand kneel bend climb and work in confined spaces for extended periods
• Comfortable working in attics crawl spaces and outdoors in various weather conditions
