Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Perform operational testing troubleshooting and repair of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
-
Install and functionally test avionics/electrical components per engineering specifications blueprints and maintenance manuals.

Diagnose and repair defective wiring components and systems using approved techniques (splicing soldering pinning etc.).

Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.

Support engineering changes and aircraft modifications as required.

Ensure all work is documented accurately and prepared for inspection.

Maintain compliance with FOD tool control 5S and safety programs.

Adapt to changing schedules and support certification/final phase aircraft testing including flight tests when required.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.

Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical field OR two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience.

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.

Ability to read write speak and understand English.

Experience troubleshooting other aircraft systems (hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental systems or structures) preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to climb stairs/ladders work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be flexible to changing schedules and operational needs.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:

FCC License preferred.
-
NCATT certification preferred.
