Job Title: Registered Nurse Pre-Operative
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Role Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to support surgical services by preparing patients for procedures and ensuring safe efficient pre-op care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise and experience in specialized surgical populations.
Schedule
- Shift: 5:30 AM 2:00 PM
- Days: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments and patient preparation
- Review medical histories lab results and ensure surgical readiness
- Administer medications and initiate IV access as needed
- Educate patients and families on procedures and pre/post-op care
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and perioperative teams
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Pre-Operative or relevant specialty
- Strong experience in Neuro and Thoracic cases (required)
- Active RN license (state-specific requirement)
- Current certifications:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius (no local candidates)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
