Job Description
A leading organisation is seeking a Contract Specialist: Property Leasing to support the end-to-end management of new and existing property leases across South Africa. This role will play a critical part in ensuring operational continuity through effective lease negotiations renewals landlord engagement and addition to business-as-usual responsibilities the successful consultant will be tasked with designing and implementing a centralised national lease database to enhance governance reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lease lifecycle including negotiations renewals addendums and landlord engagements
- Design implement and maintain a centralised national lease database with standardised processes and governance
- Conduct data cleansing validation and migration of all lease-related information into a single auditable system
- Develop real-time reporting dashboards to track renewals risks cost exposure and compliance
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting insights to support executive decision-making
- Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support space rationalisation initiatives
- Ensure all lease documentation is audit-ready and accurately reflected in internal systems
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords municipalities and internal stakeholders
- Provide responsive support for urgent or operationally critical property requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in property leasing preferably within the telecommunications sector
- Proven experience managing high volumes of leases across multiple regions
- Strong knowledge of the full lease lifecycle site acquisition and property legislation
- Demonstrated ability to design or improve lease management and document control systems
- Advanced negotiation skills with landowners corporate landlords and municipalities
- Strong understanding of contract management governance and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
- Experience working with financial or asset management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail organisational ability and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Code 08 drivers licence
