About the role
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experiencein heavy mobile equipment maintenance
- In-depth knowledge of excavator and drill maintenance practices
- Strong understanding of OEM maintenance procedures and specifications
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate field service personnel
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a field environment
- Experience with fault finding diagnostics and major component change-outs
- Strong commitment to safety risk management and compliance with site procedures
- Experience coordinating breakdowns planned maintenance and defect rectificationin the field
- Ability to mentor and develop tradespeople and apprentices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience with maintenance systems and work order management(JDEexperience desirable)
- Current drivers licence (HR desirable)
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and Workpack completion
- Provide day-to-day leadership and directionto the field maintenance crew
- Coordinate and execute planned maintenance and breakdown repairson excavators and drills
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with OEM procedures and site standards
- Maintain high standards of safety housekeeping and risk management
- Assist supervisors with work planning labour allocation and job execution
- Support troubleshooting and root cause identification of equipment failures
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders service sheets and maintenance documentation
- Promote a positive team culture and strong communicationbetween maintenance and operations
