Responsibilities

  • Order placement and order maintenance for raw and packaging materials by converting the dependent requirements of the Detailed an Master production Scheduler into timely and correct Purchase orders.

  • Ensuring availability of the right quantity of components to the production schedule when needed; communicating the due dates and Forecast to the different suppliers within the agreed lead times.

  • Optimizing the flow of materials while considering plant warehouse capacity and inventory targets eliminating potential disruptions minimizing both storage costs and potential SLOB.

  • Act as first point of contact for supplier account managers and customer service teams.

  • Monthly SLOB validation in the SLOB tool

  • Liaises with suppliers to clarify potential plan constraints and interfaces between supplier and the key internal stakeholders until issues are solved.

  • Provides material supplier input to the S&OP process to allow for transparency of risk and opportunities.

  • Manage Material Phase in Phase Out processes.

  • Manages and supports Change control processes.

  • Supports Supplier qualification efforts

Short Term Site Constraint Management

  • Manages potential abrupt deviations to the plan assessing with the suppliers the feasibility of the changes rapidly highlighting to the affected internal stakeholders if the changes are not possible.

  • In partnership with Source tracks and reports site level supplier service performance communicating the information to the relevant parties.

Collaboration

  • Interfaces with QC/QA and warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials making the necessary physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a prompt return of goods or disposal.

  • Effectively partners with all internal and external business partners.

  • Supports Source initiatives

Continuous improvement

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the MRP processes.

  • Ability to apply project and personal leadership to successfully achieve project team and individual goals.

  • Ability to share knowledge and personal experience with peers. Coach others when appropriate.

  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships considering diverse perspectives and styles.

  • Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium sized audience.

  • Ability to influence other in a matrix environment.

Education

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  • APICS certified desirable

Language

  • Proficient in Dutch and English
