DESCRIPTION:
As a Learning Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will contribute to developing and delivering effective learning solutions that enable our mission of making the world healthier cleaner and safer. You will partner with business leaders to design implement and evaluate comprehensive training programs that drive operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance. Working in a dynamic collaborative environment you will create engaging learning experiences using various modalities including classroom instruction eLearning on-the-job training and virtual delivery methods. Your work will directly impact employee development operational effectiveness and ultimately customer success through improved quality and performance.
Essential Functions:
Partners with business and project stakeholders to plan coordinate document and deliver learning solutions that support operational performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
Applies instructional design principles to develop and deliver training programs aligned with business needs performance goals and compliance standards
Executes learning initiatives and supports projects that enhance training effectiveness strengthen compliance adherence and improve learning processes
Maintains accurate training records and data within learning management systems (LMS) to support reporting audit readiness and regulatory compliance
Monitors training completion and compliance metrics; identifies gaps and supports continuous improvement actions to address business and regulatory needs
Provides operational and administrative support for learning programs including coordination of training activities materials and communications
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent required; advanced degree advantageous
Minimum of 2 years of experience in training learning and development or related field (preferably within pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated environments)
Equivalent combinations of education training and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates working knowledge of project management practices to effectively support learning initiatives and deliverables
Applies foundational knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design to develop effective training solutions
Utilizes learning technologies (e.g. LMS eLearning authoring tools virtual platforms) to deliver and manage training programs
Applies knowledge of GMP GDP and applicable regulatory requirements to ensure training compliance and audit readiness
Manages training data and documentation with accuracy to support reporting tracking and compliance requirements
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet timelines and quality standards in a regulated environment
Translates business needs into practical learning solutions that support performance outcomes
Communicates effectively with stakeholders to support alignment engagement and adoption of learning solutions
Builds collaborative working relationships across functions to support business and learning objectives
Demonstrates basic consulting skills to understand stakeholder needs and contribute to appropriate learning interventions
