Job Description
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and ensure compliance with the companys Quality Assurance (QA) system food safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Conduct quality inspections on raw materials in-process production and finished goods
Ensure all products meet quality specifications and customer requirements
Investigate product quality issues identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain and update QA documentation such as SOPs inspection records specifications and reports
Coordinate internal audits and support external audits by customers or regulatory bodies
Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with GMP HACCP and food safety standards
Work closely with production teams to improve product quality and process efficiency
Halal Compliance:
Ensure company operations comply with Halal certification requirements and halal assurance systems
Maintain halal documentation including halal certificates material declarations and supplier records
Liaise with certification bodies and regulatory authorities for halal applications renewals and audits
Monitor raw materials ingredients and production processes to ensure halal integrity is maintained
Coordinate and prepare for Halal audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings
Conduct halal awareness training for employees and relevant departments
Review suppliers halal compliance documents and verify halal status of materials
General:
Prepare quality and halal compliance reports for management review
Assist in regulatory compliance matters related to product quality and halal standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to QA and halal management systems
Perform any other duties assigned by management related to quality assurance and halal compliance
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science Food Technology Quality Management Halal Management or related field
At least 13 years experience in QA / QC / Halal compliance preferably in the food manufacturing industry
Knowledge of GMP HACCP ISO 22000 and Halal certification requirements
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong documentation and record-keeping ability
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Certified Halal Executive or halal-related training is an added advantage
Salary Range: Up to RM5k
