Accounting Support Goshen IN


This part-time opening with our client is a great fit for a strong administrative professional who enjoys working with numbers and taking ownership of clerical accounting tasks. This role is being added to support a busy finance/HR team by helping take some of the day-to-day workload off their plate. The schedule is very flexible with an expected 1520 hours per week between 7:30am and 5:00pm Monday through Fridaymaking it an excellent opportunity for someone needing a school-friendly schedule.


This position will focus primarily on accounts receivable support and general clerical duties with additional opportunities to assist with projects that support both finance and HR functions.


Job Duties:

  • Assisting with accounts receivable functions including matching invoices to payments
  • Processing cash receipts and troubleshooting discrepancies
  • Emailing monthly customer statements and following up on past-due balances
  • Helping track down invoices for accounts payable as needed
  • Opening and distributing incoming mail
  • Assisting with expense reports and receipt management
  • Supporting month-end reporting including GL-related reports
  • Assisting with new hire packets benefits packets and special projects as needed

This is a match for someone who is highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable working independently while supporting a small collaborative team. A formal accounting background is not requiredthis role is ideal for an administrative professional who is confident in Excel and enjoys working with data.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in administrative AR/AP or accounting support preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional communication skills when interacting with customers
  • Reliable trustworthy and able to work independently
