Procurement Specialist

Job Description

• Lead procurement for laboratory and research categories including chemicals consumables equipment and service agreements
• Manage end-to-end RFx (RFQ/RFP) processes for complex high-value procurements
• Ensure compliance with public-sector policies and trade agreements
• Partner with researchers to develop clear functional specifications
• Conduct value-based evaluations including total cost of ownership and risk analysis
• Negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier performance (KPIs/SLAs)
• Advise stakeholders on procurement processes and drive best practices

• Proven experience in scientific or laboratory procurement
• Strong track record managing formal RFx processes for complex procurements
• Solid understanding of public-sector procurement regulations and trade agreements
• Experience working with research stakeholders or academic environments
• Advanced analytical skills with a focus on cost optimization and risk assessment
• Excellent negotiation and contract management capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
