Scheduling and Facilities Specialist in Dance
Job Summary
The Department of Dance seeks to hire a part-time (75%) Scheduling and Facilities Specialist.This position serves as the facilities/building coordinator for the Dance Building (DB) and Space Place Theater in North person oversees departmental equipment inventory and all scheduling for rehearsal and performance spaces of the Department of Dance and serves as the main point of contact for all facilities-related projects events and inquiries. This is a specified term appointment for 2 years.
Employee will work on-site Monday through Friday 6 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as initial point of contact in Dance Building Main Office front reception deskgreeting visitors and providing support/or triaging requests.
- Serve as Building Coordinator for Dance department building including execution of special projects as assigned by supervisor responding and prioritizing needs and repair requests for proper building maintenance including creating and maintaining O&M timelines for standard upkeep. Department liaison with ITS local representative.
- In collaboration with Dance Administrative Specialist coordinate event planning and scheduling servicesdetermine logistical needs and allocate support resources.
- Oversee equipment inventory instructional performance and digital equipment.
- Key management and SES building access for the Dance building and Space Place Theater. Maintain key check-out database and issue/collect key check-out and equipment check-out contracts.
- Provide functional supervision for dance videographer student employee. Collaborate with OPAE marketing on hiring processes for student workers.
- Collaborate with faculty staff students and production unit to implement systems for efficient functioning of building responding to critical needs for safety and security of building as well as enhancements to rehearsal/performance spaces and equipment.
- Assist Dance Administrative Specialist with special projects as assigned.

Education Required:
- Bachelors degree or combination of related education and administrative work experience is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative office experience in the areas of scheduling and/or facilities management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Excel required and Adobe Acrobat.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in an administrative office in a higher education setting.
- Experience working or interest in the performing arts (music dance or theatre).
