Whats the role

As a Manager Financial Services youll play a critical role in ensuring the integrity accuracy and confidence of Westpacs financial reporting. Sitting within Financial Services in the Finance Division your work will support groupwide financial control and accounting including monthend close balance sheet governance and statutory reporting.

Youll lead financial accounting and reporting activities at scale partner closely with onshore and outsourced teams and support both businessasusual performance and strategic initiatives that strengthen controls and improve service delivery.

There are two permanent opportunities Sydneybased with hybrid working:

  • One role supporting Consumer and Business & Wealth product lines
  • One role supporting Group Divisions and the Westpac Foundation

What do I need

To be successful in this role youll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management within the financial services industry supported by completion of a professional accounting qualification (CA CPA CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical financial accounting capability with experience across monthend close reconciliations and balance sheet review
  • Strong data analysis skills including advanced Excel and the ability to work with large complex data sets (experience with Power Apps or AI tools is advantageous)
  • The ability to lead delivery through collaboration with onshore and outsourced teams maintaining high standards of quality and control
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the confidence to identify implement and embed service and process enhancements
