Job Title: Toolmaker/Mold Maker

Location: Omaha NE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include programming set up and operation of all types of machine tools used in machining work including CNCs Grinders EDM Lathes etc.. You will be responsible for manufacturing and assembly to tolerances as directed by drawings and other instruction. Toolmaking experience is required with an emphasis on experience working on injection molds. Competitive wages and full benefits package available

Job Description:

• Responsible for the startup setup running troubleshooting and ending runs on CNC and manual tooling equipment in the process of building injection molds steel stamping dies and production machining.
• Responsible for the programming and running of parts following part prints or other given standards.
• Responsible for working with our quality department at the beginning during and end of production runs to ensure parts meet quality standards. Responsible for training and overseeing operators on production runs.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized working environment within their department.
• Responsible for working with buyers/designers to ensure parts meet the needs and due dates of customers.
• Responsible for communicating with supervisors about completed and ongoing work as well as issues that have arisen.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining setup sheets for production runs.

Job Requirements:

• Must have the ability to read write and understand English and interpret part prints and mechanical drawings. Needs to be able to understand the workings of all types of lathes grinders EDMs and mills including CNC equipment or have the ability to learn how to use this equipment.
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of Toolroom Machines. Must have mechanical experience in the operation of this equipment and experience with various types of steels or plastics.
• Must be capable of establishing setups on the above- mentioned equipment. This includes the mechanical knowledge and physical ability to complete setups and do repair work on that equipment. Priority is given on individuals with experience in Camworks or individuals familiar with Haas machines.
• Must be able to bend twist and apply pressure to equipment for clamping moving material turning hand cranks and repositioning steel. These operations may be in a repetitive mode.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time while working on machinery.
• Must be able to do complex mathematical functions and accurately measure parts with a caliper and a micrometer. Experience with other measuring tools (depth micrometers scales optical comparators etc.) is a plus.
• Must be aware of and be responsible for ones own safety as well as continuously monitoring the safety of the departments employees. Must understand hazardous communication lockout/tagout and safety information. Must wear proper safety equipment (Safety glasses ear protections etc.).
• Must perform such other duties as are assigned from time to time.
