Are you an experienced Reinsurance Professional looking to build your career in Japan
We are actively hiring a Reinsurance underwriter (5 years experience) to join our client in Japan. This role offers exposure to global reinsurance markets treaty structuring and risk transfer strategies along with full visa sponsorship support.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in managing reinsurance treaties facultative placements and risk analysis working closely with reinsurers brokers and international reinsurers.
Key Responsibilities
> Manage proportional & non-proportional treaties (Quota Share Surplus XoL)
> Support facultative reinsurance placements & negotiations
> Perform risk analysis portfolio optimization & exposure assessment
> Coordinate claims recovery and loss settlements
> Work with catastrophe modelling data (RMS/AIR preferred)
> Ensure compliance with Japan FSA regulations
Requirements
5 years experience in Reinsurance / Insurance (with reinsurance exposure)
Strong knowledge of treaty structures & risk transfer mechanisms
Understanding of IFRS 17 / Solvency frameworks (preferred)
Japanese Language Proficiency: JLPT N2 or above (MANDATORY)
Business-level English
Preferred Qualification
Certification from Insurance Institute of India (III):
Licentiate / Associateship / Fellowship
