Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivatedLiveStreamingSoftware Engineer with proven Python Java NodeJS experience to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that drive our business forward. We are part of Reuters responsible of video processing and content distribution to both internal and external parties worldwide.

In this role you will be responsible fordesigning implementing and maintaining Python/Java/NodeJS -based livestreamingapplications and features. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers designers QA engineers and other top-talented engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and enhance our business operations to deliver livestreamingnews all over the world.

About the role:

Manage and optimize cloud-basedstreaminginfrastructure including cloud acquisition encoding packaging and origin services.
Lead innovation initiatives to enhance the livestreamingstack bridging the gap between cloud technologies and production requirements.
Work with emerging technologies and trends in thestreamingindustry to keep our livestreamingcapabilities at the cutting edge.
Support new feature development by understanding its impact on livestreamingoperations and ensuring scalability.
Develop test and maintain robust and scalable applications (Python NodeJS Java).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define software requirements.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are built using the latest best practices.
Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud-basedstreamingcomponents.
Monitor livestreamingevents to ensure high-quality delivery and promptly address technical issues.

About you:

Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field.
4 years experience on Python and Java backend cloud-based applications.
4 years experience on LiveStreaming(Wowza TVU AWS)
2 years experience on NodeJS backend cloud-based applications.
Experience and knowledge of cloud services preferably of AWS.
Understanding of agile development methodologies.
Proven skills on maintainable and testable code.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Proactive and self-motivated.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
